COMMUNITY GROUPS

At Fredonia Hill, Community Groups play an essential role in carrying out our vision to be a church where all people can discover and follow Jesus right where they are and wherever they are sent. Community Groups help us focus the whole of our lives on apprenticeship to Jesus and participation in His family.

The Community Group setting allows for a level of accountability and transparency that cannot be achieved in the other large group settings. Our desire is that every member of Fredonia Hill would be involved in a Community Group for the purpose of spiritual formation through authentic friendships.

MARKERS & CHARACTERISTICS OF A COMMUNITY GROUP

TIGHT-KNIT:

Community Groups should be small in nature, having no more than 7 in a group. This allows each member the opportunity to stay engaged with the group on a personal level.

GENDER-SPECIFIC:

Community Groups are encouraged to be gender-specific in order for the best level of care, transparency, and honesty to exist. If a group is mixed gender, they should regularly implement gender-specific times.

MULTI-GENERATIONAL:

The Body of Christ has beautiful diversity built in. Community Groups are places where multiple generations can pursue apprenticeship to Jesus alongside one another while bringing their unique experiences and viewpoints to contribute to the group.
