MOBILIZATION & MISSIONS
OUR APPROACH TO MOBILIZATION, MISSIONS AND PARTNERSHIPS:
Since the beginning of our start as a church plant in 1934, Fredonia Hill has existed to be a place that desires to see all people discover & follow Jesus – whether that happens to be people in our city, in the states, or internationally.
We understand our job of pursuing our neighbors and being a resource for our community, and we also desire to partner with other organizations and churches that are doing the same thing in their local contexts.
Together, we can see people discover and follow Jesus right where they are and wherever they are sent!
OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Fredonia Hill will be partnering with Bridgedale Community Church in Metairie, Louisiana.
CHURCH DETAILS:
Joshua Winton is the pastor of Bridgedale. He and his wife are both involved at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Metairie is about 10-15 minutes from downtown New Orleans. They took a 3-mile circle in each direction as their area of target. That includes 144, 000 people – with very few who are religious, and very few healthy local churches. They've identified their community needs and demographics to include young families, young singles, and senior adults.
The Congregation:
Sunday, May 11th, 2025 was their first official church service. There are 27 members right now, predominantly young married families, along with a few middle-aged families and widows. The only usable part of their property is the worship space. The rest of the building has not been fixed since sustaining damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Community Engagement | How to Pray alongside Bridgedale:
They lead Athletes in Action, a ministry for university-aged athletes, at nearby campuses of Tulane and Loyola. They began praying for the local church to be healthy, for lots of doors to open as they went door to door to meet their neighbors. They have been praying about opening as a remote workspace where young singles and families could come to work. They found that many people are actually home and working remotely. They want the remote workspace to have stations and coffee, and serve as a place for their church members to interact with their neighbors.

Fredonia Hill began a partnership with Celebration Church in October 2025. We're excited to share more details about this partnership during Missions Month!
ABOUT CELEBRATION CHURCH:
Celebration Church is pastored by Jason Byers. He and his wife Carrie have 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. They are originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and previously served as missionaries with the North American Mission Board. He and his wife felt called to Canada and have been at Celebration Church for 6 years. He is a volunteer chaplain on the Ottawa Campus.
Community Engagement | Ways to pray alongside Celebration:
The east side of their church campus comprises lower to middle-class families, and the west side of their campus hosts affluent dual-income families. For the Ontario Province, they are asking God for 1% (150,000 people) to come to know Christ in the next 10 years. Second, their leadership would like to build maturity within their people. Because of the transient nature of their location, it is hard to see the strategies of having someone mature in their faith play out.
His Voice Global has been raising up leaders among the vulnerable in East Africa for nearly two decades because they not only see the importance of integrative care and leadership development, but also the call of Africans for worldwide impact.
Fredonia Hill began a partnership with HVG in 2024. A short-term team served in Uganda in June 2025. To learn more about HVG, reach out to Becky Weems or visit their website.
PRAY. GIVE. GO. SEND.
pray for unreached people groups
The International Mission Board releases a prayer calendar each month with stories from the field and ways to pray for people groups who are unreached and unengaged in reference to their access to the Gospel.
SUPPORT MISSIONS FINANCIALLY
